Completing your Student Ambassador application

To apply for the role of Student Ambassador, you will be asked to complete an application form and submit a CV and cover letter. Full details of the application process are outlined below.

How to apply

Step 1: Read the job description

Step 2: Prepare a cover letter

This is the most important part of your application and will be used to make the decision on who we interview for the role.

A cover letter is a personal statement (max one side of A4) detailing your skills and experience. It should answer the following questions while referring back to the job description:

  • Why do you want to be a Student Ambassador?
  • What skills and experiences do you have that are relevant, in particular in relation to the essential and desirable criteria, in the job description?

You may wish to make use of both our advice and the Careers Service's advice on writing a cover letter to help you.

Step 3: Prepare a CV / resume (optional)

You may want to include a CV or resume with your application. This can help to add a little context to your cover letter but is optional for this position. The cover letter is enough in most cases.

Step 4: Submit your application
