Monitoring engagement We may also use your information to track your prospective student journey because it is in our legitimate interest to monitor the effectiveness of our activities, including across different demographics and audience segments; this is for statistical purposes only. To do so we will keep the information you provide when booking and details of the event(s) you have attended for up to three years. Please note that attending information events will have no impact on the outcome of any current or future application. Photography and recordings Events may be photographed or recorded because it is our legitimate interest to do so, and images may be kept for up to ten years. If you do not wish to be included you can object by emailing the event organiser. Events may be recorded and session recordings may be published online. Any information that you provide during a session is optional and in doing so you give us consent to process this information. Recordings will be stored by the University of Edinburgh for two years and may be published on our website during that time. For 'live event' recorded video content, such as session recordings during open days and online events, we will record where it is used / published and hold it for up to two years. Communication If you have given your consent to receive further information about the University or future events, we will keep relevant contact and preference data for up to two years.
