Our Corporate Parenting Plan 2022-2027 outlines our strategy and priorities for the upcoming years. The University of Edinburgh has worked closely with our care-experienced and estranged students to create this corporate parenting action plan. We were also inspired and influenced by our external partners from the Hub for Success, Who Cares? Scotland and Stand Alone. Our work is underpinned by The Promise Scotland. Corporate Parenting Plan 2022-2027 [PDF] Below are key areas we will be working on during this plan’s lifecycle. Aspiration and Early Engagement and Support to Get In To develop targeted outreach and pre-application programmes and systems for care-experienced and estranged applicants and their supporters. Support to Get In and Support to Succeed To improve the navigation and signposting experience for students transitioning into the University and for those already on programme. Support to Succeed and Support to Progress To improve our accommodation offer. To enhance our financial support offer. To build a strong student community. To oversee the work we do and to ensure our Corporate Parent Plan is a success we have the Edinburgh Cares committee. The committee has representation of key staff from across the University.
